What does MannyD.dev actually do?
We're a software solutions company. Our specialty is native iOS and Android app development, and we also build custom software, websites, and web applications, plus ongoing IT support for the businesses we work with. If your business runs on it, we can build it and we can keep it running.
What do you mean by "native" apps?
Your iOS app is written in Swift and your Android app in Kotlin, using Apple's and Google's own frameworks, not a website wrapped in an app icon. Native apps are faster, get full access to hardware like Face ID, the camera, and push notifications, and hold up far better through operating system updates. It costs a little more up front and saves you from rebuilding in two years.
What happens when Apple or Google releases a new OS?
Small point updates almost never affect a native app. A major version jump is a different story. Apple and Google change things every year, and any app can pick up a bug or a visual glitch from a big release, which is outside anyone's control. We watch the developer betas ahead of each release so we know what is coming, and when something does need patching we handle it. On a support plan that is covered. If you are not on one, we quote the fix.
Do you handle App Store and Google Play submission?
Yes. We manage the entire release process: developer accounts, provisioning, store listings, screenshots, privacy disclosures, review submissions, and the inevitable back-and-forth with reviewers. We also handle updates after launch.
What does your IT support cover?
Help desk for your staff, computers and mobile devices, networks and Wi-Fi, email and Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, backups, security monitoring and patching, and maintenance of the software and servers we've built for you. Remote first, on-site when the situation calls for it.
Do I have to sign up for a support plan?
No. Support plans are entirely optional and never a condition of your license. Your license to run the software continues either way. Some clients want us on a monthly plan, others just call when something comes up. Both are fine.
Do I own the code?
You get a lifetime license to run your software in your business for as long as you want, with no retainer and no contract. We keep ownership of the underlying source code, and that is what stops your build being copied, rebranded, or resold by anyone else. Your brand, your content, and your data are yours outright and always will be. If you want full ownership of the code transferred to you, that is something we can quote separately. The details are in our Terms of Service.
How much does a project cost?
We quote per project rather than publishing generic pricing, because every build is different. Reach out with your idea and you'll receive a clear, flat quote before any work begins.
