StapleWatch Terms of Use

These terms apply to the StapleWatch iPhone app ("the app"), made by MannyD.dev Software Solutions ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. License

The app is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). These terms add to that agreement; where they conflict, the Apple EULA controls.

2. Information only, not advice

Prices in StapleWatch are national or regional averages published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. They are not the price at any particular store, are not real-time, and may be revised or discontinued by BLS. The app, including any trend, change, or basket figure it shows, is for general information only and is not financial, investment, or purchasing advice.

We work to present the data accurately, but we do not guarantee that it is complete, current, or error-free, and you should not rely on it for decisions where accuracy is critical.

3. Not affiliated with the government

StapleWatch is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Bureau of Labor Statistics or any government agency. BLS data is a work of the U.S. government and is in the public domain.

4. StapleWatch Pro

  • Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
  • Payment is processed by Apple. The price shown in the app at the time of purchase is the price you pay, plus any applicable tax.
  • Pro stays unlocked for the Apple Account that bought it. Use Restore purchases on the upgrade screen after reinstalling or on a new iPhone.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Features may evolve over time. We will not remove Pro access you have paid for while the app remains available.

5. Ads

The free version shows advertising provided by Google AdMob. We do not control the content of individual ads and are not responsible for advertisers' products or claims. See the Privacy Policy for how ads use data.

6. Acceptable use

Do not reverse engineer the app, interfere with its operation or its data source, or use it in any way that violates the law or the Apple EULA.

7. Availability

The app depends on data published by BLS and on third-party hosting. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the app or any feature at any time, and the underlying data may be delayed or interrupted for reasons outside our control (for example, a government shutdown).

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, MannyD.dev Software Solutions will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, and our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid for StapleWatch Pro.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version will always be posted on this page with an updated date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
